The Indiana Fever secured a crucial home win on Wednesday night, edging out the Los Angeles Sparks 78-73 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The contest featured standout rookie performances, timely scoring, and strong defense from both squads, with the Fever ultimately making more plays down the stretch.

Caitlin Clark once again paced Indiana, finishing with 23 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds. Her poise and shot-making in the fourth quarter helped the Fever hold off a late Sparks rally. Clark’s court vision and deep shooting kept the Sparks’ defense stretched, opening up opportunities for teammates throughout the game.

Aliyah Boston provided a steady interior presence, adding 15 points and 9 rebounds while anchoring the defense against the Sparks’ frontcourt. NaLyssa Smith also chipped in with 12 points, hitting key mid-range shots that helped maintain Indiana’s lead in the second half.

For the Sparks, Dearica Hamby led the charge with 21 points and 12 rebounds, playing a physical and relentless game in the paint. Rookie Rickea Jackson added 14 points, showing flashes of brilliance in transition and on the wing, but the Sparks struggled with turnovers in key moments.

Both teams traded runs throughout the second half, with the Fever clinging to a narrow advantage for most of the fourth quarter. A late 7-0 run, sparked by Clark’s three-pointer and two Boston free throws, gave Indiana just enough breathing room to secure the win.

The Fever improved to 9-11 with the victory, while the Sparks dropped to 5-14. Indiana continues to build momentum as they push for a playoff spot, with Clark’s evolving leadership and playmaking at the center of their resurgence.
